This heavy striped fabric immediately caught our eye. The fresh white-yellow pattern and the beautiful mesh structure make this fabric special. Despite its sporty look, the fabric is made almost entirely from cotton and is very stable when handled. This makes it a great fabric for sewing beginners. Despite its mesh knit, it is surprisingly opaque. It has very little drape and is thus most suitable for simple patterns that need a little bit of stiffness.
We sewed up a self-drafted dress in this fabric, playing around with the stripes. In addition, we used a stripe of the fabric to add a sporty look to the Helen's Closet Avery Leggings.
